Make your 112 climb Higher and faster than ever before!

-

" I can't believe my 112 could ever climb like that or go so fast."

-

"It's going to take some time to get used to."

-

"At 16,000' I had to stop it from climbing."

" The cleanest turbo/intercooler system I've ever seen"

Speeds at 10,000 feet msl. @ 75% power (2450 rpm): Hot Shot 112 - 153 kts TAS, 12 Gph.

Stock 112- 122 Kts. TAS, 10 Gph.

On a 4 hour flight you would be 181 miles closer to your destination!

The higher you fly, the faster you go--- 164 kts TAS @ 16,000 feet.

Climb: Standard Conditions, SL to 16000 feet (@ gross weight):

Hot Shot ---  21 minutes!

Stock 112-- unattainable.

This conversion does NOT reduce TBO. Due to intercooling, all temperatures remain cool and stable!

FULL POWER THROUGH 16,000 Feet!

These are photos of actual installations in REAL airplanes that fly. Not doctored photos or renditions of airplanes that don't exist! The performance numbers are FAA witnessed and have been a reality since certification of this STC in Feb 91.

I3BLAD~1.JPG (20260 bytes) Three blade props for the 112 are available!

WHY?...   Six good reasons:

1) Better cruise.

2) Better climb.

3) Quieter!

4) Smo-o-o-oth.

5) More ground clearance.

5) Longer service life.

6) Looks Cool...

Look here at the Scimitar shape of the blades. A whole different look & sound. Swiiish... not BrrrrSEP30_21.JPG (95864 bytes)
These Scimitar shape blades give better cruise performance as opposed to conventional straight blades, due to engineering of thrust closer to the blade tips. There's the bonus!

Frequently asked Questions:

What is the cost of the conversion?
As of 05/01/2007 - The installed price of the mod (not including the 3 blade propeller) is $26,400.00 which includes:
Turbocharger, Intercooler, Exhaust, Fuel pump, Scavenge pump, Oil lines, Firewall structural components, Upper-deck shrouds seals and lines, fittings and AN-MS hardware.

FREE Installation.

Flap and Aileron gap seals, plus many parts to numerous to list.
Gap seals are shipped for customer installation.

Why do I need the mod if I live at Sea Level?

Because none of the 112/B Commanders can develop full power at Sea Level.
The highest manifold pressure achievable (at Sea Level) is 27” MP on a cool day.
The engine is rated at 28.5” MP for full power.
This 1.5” MP loss is 26 horse power or a 13% loss at Sea Level.

Does the mod reduce TBO?
No, because of intercooling.
The Intercooler reduces the temperature of the air that the engine needs for operation.
Less heat equals longer life and increased reliability.

(Addtional charge for 3 blade approval STC & authorization with Hot Shot Mod if prop is not purchased from RCM)

Other STC's Pending.
